07.10.2007 ZeNETeX providing ITIL services as a part of STG’s Army NETCOM/9th Winning Team

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--STG, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a 5-year, $190 million single-awardee indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract to provide information technology (IT) services support to the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command/9th Signal Command (Army). STG will deliver enterprise-level command, control, communications, computers and information management (C4IM) common-user services in support of NETCOM/9th SC(A)’s mission.

Team STG — which consists of General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), ZeNETeX and New Horizons — will support the Army, its Service Component Commanders and the Combatant Commanders’ IT infrastructure through the implementation of an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) set of best practices. These services comprise requirements for network operations, systems operations, technical support, security management, process management and service support for both Sensitive but Unclassified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET) and Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET) environments.

“STG has a rich history of past performance with the Army, including the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) and the Army Research Laboratory (ARL),” said Glenn Davis, STG Senior Vice President, Defense Sector. “Using ITIL industry best practices, we will provide mission-critical IT support services to an Army organization entrusted to establish new IT capabilities that directly support the warfighter.”

Under this contract, Team STG will support the following NETCOM divisions:

·     Continental United States (CONUS) Theater Network Operations and Security Center (C-TNOSC) — Providing operations, management and defense support for LandWarNet, the Army’s portion of the Global Information Grid (GIG).

·     Headquarters Commandant (HQ CMDT) — Providing NIPRNET, SIPRNET and Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS) support for organizational elements assigned to or supported by NETCOM/9th SC(A).

·     Assistant Chief of Staff, G-3 — Providing requisite IT technical expertise to satisfy warfighter and organizational IT service requirements.

Teammates were carefully selected to provide the balance necessary to ensure that all goals of this contract are met: GDIT has been providing support to NETCOM for more than nine years; ZeNETeX offers a wealth of ITIL expertise and experience; and New Horizons specializes in IT training resources.

NETCOM provides centralized enterprise-level management over Army information systems, and is the single voice for Army network operations. The increased collaboration between ARL, ATEC and now NETCOM will improve the quality of STG’s enterprise support services though lessons learned on Army programs and initiatives.
